cases that may affect the client’s case or claim. We also maintain a network of other
resources including contract lawyers with specialization for unanticipated issues that may
arise or be unique to your representation. We have ongoing relationships with financial
advisors, medical doctors, accountants, appraisers, and other professionals who may be
called upon as consultants or eventual expert witnesses on your behalf. This network
allows a smaller firm like Hollander & Gould to provide our clients with a team when
needed.
At Hollander & Gould, LLP we attempt to keep our clients well aware of the day to day
activities which relate to or may affect their cases. We also strive to be responsive to a
client’s inquiries and concerns. Unlike many larger firms we do not “nickel and dime” our
clients with “in-house”, or “soft” costs and advise our clients, and/or seek authorization
before incurring larger “outside” costs. We also offer a variety of financial terms from
flat-fee, hourly, contingent and/or hybrid fee agreements based on the particulars of your
case. Wherever possible we try to keep required upfront retainer payments to a
minimum and never do we require a “non-refundable” retainer.
As a result of our approach to our clients’ cases, and the legal system, we have
established long-standing relationships with our clients, providing on-going, in-depth
consultation that frequently goes beyond the mere providing of legal advice. As a result
we are accessible and our staff is prepared to discuss any legal matter or issue that may
arise in a timely manner.
